Luau Food
The food traditionally served at
a Luau includes kalua pig, which is pork that has been cooked in an
imu (an underground oven), fish, limu (seaweed), crab, he’e
(octopus), opihi (limpets), lau lau (pork and vegetables wrapped in
leaves), and poi.

Polynesian Breeze Drink
Process fruits together in a juicer.
Pour into glass, top off with umbrella straw & cherry.
- 3 mangoes, peeled, pitted, and cut into wedges
- 1 cup chopped fresh pineapple (if not available use canned)
- 1 cup raspberries
- Cherries
- Umbrella Straws

Sangria Punch Drink (alcoholic)
Mix ingredients together in a plastic
container. Store overnight in a cool place. Before serving add some
ice.
- 1 gallon red wine
- 4 apples peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 oranges, sliced and quartered
- 1/2 lemon, sliced
- 2 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 cup light rum

Mimosa Punch Drink
Mix all ingredients in a large punch
bowl. Serve punch in a cup, garnish with sprig of mint.
- 2 bottles chilled champagne
- 2 quarts chilled orange juice
- 12 sliced strawberries
- Fresh mint for garnish
- Frozen orange juice cubes

Hawaiian Volcano Drink
Combine the fruit punch and guava
juice, then slowly add the sherbet. Pour the ginger ale directly on
top of the sherbet.
- 1 gallon cold Hawaiian
fruit punch
- 2 cups guava juice
- 2 bottles cold ginger ale or lemon-lime soda
- 1/2 gallon rainbow sherbet

Blue Hawaiian Cocktail
Combine all ingredients with ice in
shaker - shake well.
- 2 oz. dark rum
- 1 oz. vanilla vodka
- 1 oz. coffee liqueur
- 4 oz or 1/2 cup of fresh orange juice

Mai Tai Cocktail
Combine all ingredients with ice in a
shaker. Strain into a chilled highball glass over ice cubes. Garnish
with the pineapple and umbrella.
- 2 oz. dark rum
- 2 oz. light rum
- 1 oz. Curacao
- 1 oz. fresh lime juice
- 1 tbsp. Grenadine
- 1 tbsp. Orgeat (almond) syrup
- Pineapple spear

Tahiti Club Cocktail
Combine all in shaker. Pour into
chilled old- fashioned glass and garnish with the orange slice.
- 3 oz. gold rum
- 1/2 oz. maraschino liqueur
- 1 oz. pineapple juice
- 1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
- Orange slice – garnish |
